I'm starting to think Apple lovers are taking it a little too far.

My partner Sharlene and I recently got married in the Valley of Fire National Park in Nevada. We opted for a little roller coaster action post wedding.

Life is good. :)

I bet when this guy started his modeling career he wasn't expecting to be in a Snuggle Up crochet book. I see this as his punishment for taking up modeling as a career. I'm also looking at this as my therapy for having to put up with pretty boys all my life. I feel better already.

Some people have the ability to write and send out great emails. My friend Phil is one of them.

My favorite new album of the week is not of the musical genre. This week I've gone in the direction of comedy.

Comedian Patton Oswalt's latest comedy album "Finest Hour" (recorded live in Seattle) is just that.. A fine hour of comedy. His takes ranging from parenthood to KFC's Double Down are cynical, thoughtful and delivered with a huge punch to the gonads. Garfield masks will never be the same to me thanks to Oswalt. I'm looking forward to seeing him perform live sometime down the road. In the meantime "Finest Hour" is an entertaining gap stopper.

After this weekend long time boxing announcer Larry Merchant became an American Hero.

I recently signed on to the RDIO music subscription service thus exposing me to tons of older and new material I had never heard of. As a music lover, seeking out new music always brings joy to my ears and brain. I thought it would be fun to share some of my new musical discoveries here on my blog. I may put out the occasional music podcast as well as time allows.

My music pick for this week is the new Primus album "Naugahyde". It's their first studio release in 11 years... And it was worth the wait. I'm on my 4th listen as I write this and it's only getting better. I've always had a love hate relationship with the music coming from Les Claypool's brain. This time around his brain candy is pure sweetness.

I took my daughter to the Ottawa Fair this weekend. Unfortunately I'm still trying to remove the grease on her hand that was left from doing hi-fives with the carnie running the Nemo ride. Despite the filth she and I had a great time.

Hurricane Irene wasn't nearly as fierce on us here in Ottawa. These colorful clouds were the tail end of her presence felt.

Thanks Irene.
